There is on special story which I want to tell you about my grandpa.
When he was in war, he had to secure a little post near Valencia. He went there with two other guys when they saw a group of American soldiers went into a little hood. My grandfathers group which had a lot of ammo and an MG made a plan. They decided to throw a grenade into the hood so the Americans had to come out and they are able to arrest them. They did everything, but there were not only a few soldiers in the hood, it was a whole company with an officer. My grandfather was shocked, what he should do with all this man? After a few moments of confusing the officer went to my grandpa and asked him: “Do you want to shoot us?” He was very surprised about this question and said: “Of course not!” after a few more words it was clear, the Germans shoot their prisoners. The next five minutes there was silence. My grandpa was scared about his group members, but he wanted to let the American soldiers leave. Tanks god everyone was okay with it and they get an little letter from the officer that if they would get cached by the Americans they will get the best treatment in prison they are able to give them.
I love my grandpa and this is only one thing because I’m very proud of him.
